FRU Says No to Serevi
Digicel Fiji 7s coach, Josateki Savou has confirmed he has been told by the FRU Games Committee not to include 7s Maestro Waisale Serevi in his team and coaching staff to Hong Kong.
Speaking to Village Sports, Savou said Serevi is an asset to any team because of his experience in the 7s code but he will stick to the guidelines given to him by the FRU and the wizard's dream of returning to the Happy Valley is over.
Savou said he will meet the FRU Games Committee on Tuesday where they will look at the areas they will have to improve on before the final 12 member team to Hong Kong is named next month in the Marist 7's.
The Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 28th to the 30th of next month. |
