Police discover more fake notes
There has been an increase in number of fake notes circulating in the country.

Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said a $10 and $20 dollar fake bill was discovered yesterday in Suva by a bowser attendant and a taxi driver.

Earlier in the week ten $50 fake bills were found which were tendered busy places such as bread shops, supermarkets and some were even given to taxi drivers during the night time when drivers were not able to differentiate between the notes.

Two $50 fake notes were discovered in separate incidents yesterday in Rakiraki and Suva.

Sokomuri said that a team of CID officers are now investigating the discoveries of the fake notes to apprehend those involved in the circulation of the fake bills.

Police have discovered more than 10 fake $20, $50 and $100 bills which have the same serial numbers.
