Tsunami Watch issued for Fiji after 8.2 magnitude quake in Philippines
A Tsunami Watch has been issued for all coastal and low lying areas of Fiji following an 8.2 Magnitude earthquake in the General Santos City of Philippines.

The Mineral Resources Department Seismology Division says this means all low-lying coastal areas will experience strong and unusual currents and unpredictable surges at the shore.

The Department is also advising the public to stay tuned to local media for further updates.

They say their seismology section will continue to closely monitor the situation during this time until the threat is over.
