PC Racagi

Police have today said that they will make comments after the file is returned from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding the two men whose charges were dropped today relating to the murder of Police Constable Peniasi Racagi in Lami on the 22nd of February this year.

When questioned by fijivillage News, Police say due process was followed on the sanctioning and laying of charges with the Office of the DPP.

Police say the withdrawal of the charge whilst in the judicial process is the Office of the DPP's call.

Police say as earlier stated, the investigations into two avenues of the officer's death and Police involvement continues.

We have also asked whether Police are still unable to find witnesses and those that murdered 24 year old Constable Racagi.

We have also asked what are the delays in the investigations and what is the step moving forward.

Stay with us for developments.
