His case has been adjourned to 21st May.

During the proceedings, the court informed Ono of his right to legal representation, and he opted to be assisted by the Legal Aid Commission.

Chand, a resident of Korowiri, was allegedly attacked near Subrail Park on Sunday morning after he had gone to deliver a sound system to a kirtan programme on Saturday night.
