Continue to strive for your dreams children - Byrne

Continue to strive for your dreams children - Byrne

As Christians all over the country celebrate Palm Sunday today, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua is encouraging children to strive for their dreams.

Coming out victorious against the Waratahs at home, the Drua's next mission will be to defend their turf against the Western Force next week.

In his Palm Sunday message, Coach Mick Byrne says Fiji has a magnificent spirit as well as a magnificent future, and we have to keep our children dreaming.

Byrne says he just loves the spirit of the children in Fiji and they should keep that spirit and keep enjoying life.

The Coach says his message to parents is to keep encouraging their children to strive for their dreams.

He says the energy and excitement children have is inspiring.

When questioned by fijivillage News on the team helping the children of St Tabitha Home in Saweni, Lautoka to attend and enjoy the game, Byrne says they are the community and not anything separate.

Byrne says they owe it to their people who put their hands deep into their pockets to support them.

He says they will continue to grow that over the years as the people's team and continue to support it in any way they can.

The Coach says it is inspiring for him as a coach and also as a message to the players.

Coming up next week, there will be another double header as our Fijian Drua teams host the Western Force with the Men’s team playing first at 1.05pm and the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women at 3.35pm on Saturday at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
