The Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children Fiji, Chandar Shekhar is calling on people to know what forms of violence children go through in their lives.
Shekhar said there are many forms of violence taking place against children today and there is a need for each community to be fully informed about it.
Shekar is urging people to immediately report to police or the social welfare if they know of a child being abused in any way.
Save the Children Fiji will be commemorating the International Day against Child Abuse tomorrow by distributing blue ribbons to the government, corporate and other organizations in the country asking people to show their support and wear the ribbon or anything blue as a memorial to children who have been touched by any sort of violence.
A Blue Ribbon is the International symbol for Child Abuse Prevention.
