Nakasi alleged murder accused Laqeni recovering from surgery, absence excused
Epeli Laqeni, who is accused of allegedly killing his de facto partner in Nakasi last September, did not appear in court yesterday as he is currently recovering from surgery.

Suva High Court Judge Justice Usaia Ratuvili excused his absence.

Justice Ratuvili ordered Laqeni to report to the nearest police station on the last Sunday of each month, commencing on the 28th of this month.

The matter has been adjourned to July 21st for pre-trial matters.

He was earlier granted bail.

Laqeni is charged with one count of murder.
