Telecom NZ customers experience fault

Telecom NZ customers experience fault
Telecom New Zealand customers are reported to be still experiencing a fault which has left them unable to make calls to Fiji over the last week.

Radio New Zealand reports that a Spokesperson from Telecom NZ said customers may still be experiencing intermittent faults and their engineers are working with their counterparts in Fiji, with the problem believed to be in Fiji.

All international calls in and out of Fiji go through FINTEL.

Fijivillage has contacted Fiji residents in NZ who confirm that they cannot call landlines in Fiji via Telecom NZ.

Telecom Fiji has confirmed that their engineers have checked the systems and the problem does not lie with their services.

FINTEL Officials could not be reached for a comment on the matter.

It is not known how long it will take to resolve the problem.
