Search still underway for prison inmate escapee

Police and Corrections Services officers are still searching for a prison inmate who escaped from Naboro yesterday.

Lisala matavura, 54 of kaleli settlement escaped from the medium corrections centre during an early morning working party today.

Matavura is serving a sentence of 7 years, 7 months for burglary, theft and giving false information to public servant.

Corrections spokeswoman Ana Tamani said that the incident has been reported to police and they are appealing to the public for any information of his whereabouts.
