Pilot rescued after Wailoaloa Beach crash
The pilot of the Robinson R44 helicopter was involved in an incident at around 5.23pm yesterday in waters off Wailoaloa Beach, near the Nadi Boat Club was safely rescued and received immediate medical attention from a doctor at the scene.

Fiji Airports confirms the helicopter had departed Nadi with one person on board and was en route to Denarau when it entered the sea.

They are working closely with the aircraft operator and relevant authorities to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Fiji Airports says the incident has not impacted operations at Nadi International Airport.

They say safety remains the cornerstone of Fiji Airports’ operations, and they will continue to work closely with all relevant agencies throughout the investigation.
