Naboro breakout investigation report still not out
The Fiji Correction Services is yet to reveal the outcome of the investigation in relation to the Naboro prison escape in September.

The department had stressed that a full investigation would be carried out and also ascertain all the procedures that are in place.

Some Corrections Officers on duty were also being interviewed.

We have asked the department what has been done to ensure that such breakouts do not take place.

A response is yet to be received.

Meanwhile, funds have been allocated for the hiring of 100 additional Correction Officers.

During the 2013 National Budget announcement, Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said CCTV cameras will also be installed in all the Correction facilities.
