New Zealand heavyweight boxer and a former professional rugby league and rugby union player, Sonny Bill Williams says he will smash Paul Gallen's face when the two face off in the ring next month.

During a press conference that Gallen failed to attend, Williams says he will train hard to smash Gallen, and it is as simple as that.

When asked why he is taking it personally, Williams says he has learnt that even if you do not take things personally, it is personal in the ring.

Williams says the reason why Gallen did not show up was maybe because he probably thought that the drug testers were going to be at the press conference and question him about the vitamins that he has been on.

He says he does not feel disrespected at all when Gallen did not turn up for the press conference.

Williams went on to call Gallen the biggest drug sporting scandal in the NRL to date.

Meanwhile, Gallen had recorded a video that was played during the press conference and said that Williams had wasted Gallen’s time for the last 10 years.

Williams will take on Gallen on the 16th of July at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
