Palm Sunday is a time to reflect on our responsibility to the next generation - Rabuka

As Christians celebrate Palm Sunday, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says today marks the beginning of Holy Week, the most significant period in the Christian calendar leading up to Easter.

He says it commemorates the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, where he was welcomed by people laying palm branches along his path, a symbol of honour, peace, and victory.

While also launching the $50 million Fiji Wai Limited Water bottling plant in Naseyani, Ra, Rabuka says Palm Sunday is also a time to reflect on our responsibility to the next generation, to parents and guardians.

He adds that he wants to nurture and guide Fiji's children with care, helping them grow into responsible and compassionate citizens who will strengthen and unite our nation.

Rabuka says our children are our future leaders, and the values we instill in them today will shape the Fiji of tomorrow.

His message to the children of our nation is to continue to learn, grow, and believe in their potential and strive for success in all that they do.
