Parents urged to value children as Palm Sunday celebrations unite families in faith

We should ensure that children are made to feel valued, and parents must understand the important role they play in raising a child.

This is the heartfelt message from Calvary Temple Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr Mosese Cakau, as thousands of Fijians celebrate Palm Sunday today.

He says the family unit should be strengthened, and children must be taught the right values from home.

Reverend Cakau highlighted that the church plays an important role in molding children to become better leaders in the future.

Meanwhile, it was an all-white scene at the Calvary Temple Church in Samabula as hundreds of children, dressed in white and carrying palm leaves, took centre stage in celebration of Palm Sunday.

The children sang hymns and recited Bible verses in front of the congregation.

To mark the occasion, the church also prepared a feast for the children.
