Turaga Na Tui Namosi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua

Turaga Na Tui Namosi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, has reaffirmed the stand of the Vanua of Namosi that the 2013 Constitution needs to be changed, saying it continues to hold back iTaukei development.

Speaking at the Namosi Provincial Council Meeting, Ratu Suliano highlighted that this matter was discussed during the Bose Vanua last year, where the Vanua collectively agreed that the current constitution does not adequately support the progress of the iTaukei people.

He says many people of Namosi have personally raised their concerns with him about the need to amend the constitution, and he stands firmly with his people on this issue.

Ratu Suliano adds that for the iTaukei to truly thrive and achieve meaningful development, the constitution must be reviewed and changed to better reflect their needs and aspirations.
