Nacuqu and Nagasau appointed captains

Fiji Men's 7s captain Waisea Nacuqu and Fijiana 7s skipper Rusila Nagasau

Waisea Nacuqu has been selected to captain the Fiji Men’s 7s team while Rusila Nagasau will captain the Fijiana in the Commonwealth Games this weekend. Coach, Ben Gollings says Nacuqu communicates well with the players and is instrumental on the field. The Commonwealth Games opening ceremony will start at 6am Friday.

The Fijiana 7s team will face Scotland in their first match at 8.22pm this Friday, they will meet South Africa in their second match at 4.30am Saturday before they face Australia at 8.22pm Saturday.

The semifinals will kick off at 6.42am Sunday while the women’s gold final will start at 8.04am Monday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men's 7s first match is against Zambia at 12.02am Saturday, then they will meet Canada at 8.32am Saturday and play Wales in their final pool match at 12.02am Sunday.
