Haji Bashir Khan of the Fiji Muslim League Headquarters in Vanua Levu shared that many families have been arriving since the morning to enjoy the delicious food prepared for Eid celebrations, including traditional dishes and sweets.
He says that after the meals, people will visit friends and relatives to share joy, exchange greetings and strengthen family and community bonds.

Menwhile, Mufti Imran of Naseakula Jame Mosque emphasised that Eid is a time for happiness and togetherness, when families and communities come together to celebrate and thank Allah.

He encouraged everyone to remember those less fortunate, offering support and spreading love, compassion, and goodwill.

The celebrations also included families taking photos together and community members organising charity drives and donations to help those in need.

The festive atmosphere in Vanua Levu reflects the strong sense of unity, generosity and joy that marks Eid for Muslims across Fiji.
