27-year-old Apisai Madigibuli

27-year-old Apisai Madigibuli, who allegedly murdered his 25-year-old wife at an apartment complex along Robertson Road in Suva in May, will appear for pre-trial conference next month.

Madigibuli who has been charged with one count of murder appeared before Justice Dane Tuiqereqere this morning.

The Prosecution had raised concerns that an email was sent to them by the family that Madigibuli was using a contraband phone from remand to contact his daughter in Savusavu.

Prosecution had said that if he was able to reach his daughter from remand, imagine what would happen if he was out on bail.

Justice Tuiqereqere told the prosecution to write an affidavit and include that in it.

Madigibuli will appear on the 15th of October in the Suva High Court.
