MOE doing everything it can for smooth recovery at RKS, Bure grateful for the support rendered towards the recovery process

The Acting Permanent Secretary for Education, Timoci Bure has reaffirmed all parents and guardians of the 145 students of Ratu Kadavulevu School’s Sukuna Hostel that were affected by the fire last week, that the Ministry of Education is doing everything it can to ensure a smooth and efficient recovery process for them.

While updating on the status of the recovery efforts, Bure expressed gratitude for the support rendered towards the recovery process at the school.

He also extended appreciation to all those who came forward to provide assistance and support during this challenging time.

The Acting Permanent Secretary confirms that a 145-bed facility has been secured for the students who will be returning to the hostel and arrangements are for the supply of the much-needed items.

Upon completion and delivery of the double bunks and wooden chests, students will not be able to return to school until Monday 26th June.

This will also give parents and guardians of the affected students ample time to replenish their child's hostel kit.
