Wheelchair-bound murder accused Laqeni seeks more documents ahead of trial

Wheelchair-bound Epeli Laqeni, who is accused of killing his de facto partner, has requested further documents from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for his case.

Laqeni appeared before Suva High Court Judge Justice Usaisa Ratuvili this morning.

He is charged with one count of murder and is out on bail.

Laqeni allegedly murdered her in Nakasi in September last year.

The matter has been adjourned to April 7th for a pre-trial conference.
