Defending Asia Pacific IBO champion and Fiji’s boxing sensation Winston Hill

Defending Asia Pacific IBO champion and Fiji’s boxing sensation Winston Hill has labelled his opponent and Australian fighter Lachlan O’Shea as the Boogeyman who is coming to knock him out.

While speaking during the South Pacific Boxing Promotion press conference today, Hill says every fight that he prepares for, he feels like his opponent is the most dangerous boxer that he will ever fight.

He says he looks at his upcoming fight against O’Shea as one of those bad dreams that he can't run away from and can't fight back.

When asked by fijivillage News what his strategy is heading into this fight, Hill says he will be targeting O'Shea’s heavy scar tissue on his right eye.

He says as much as they want each other to step out of the ring safe and healthy, it won’t change his strategy by targeting the lead.

Hill says for this fight he is looking forward to a full 10-round boxing show.

Meanwhile, South Pacific Boxing Promoter Freddy Chand the main bout for the event will be determined the night before the fight as there will be 3 international title fights for this event.

The three international title fights will see Hill taking on O’Shea for the IBO Asia Pacific Super Welterweight title,

Sebastian Singh will take on Tonga’s King Tonga Tongotongo for the IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title and Ubayd Haider will fight China’s Runqi Zhou for the IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight title.

There will also be another international fight in the event that will see Jese Ravudi taking on Vanuatu’s Roy Ser. Meanwhile, Siliveni Nawai and Jonathan Pedro Hill will fight for the Fijian Super Middleweight title. In other fights on the night, Jnr Abhay Chand will take on Vitori Cabalevu in a 6x3 contest while in the 4x3 contest, Apisai Naciqa will fight Marika Kavika, Manoa Tuiyaro will take on Ezra Volavola, Amit Kumar will fight Mikaele Marisi and Amo Wati will fight Maureen Neumia in the only 4x2 female bout. The South Pacific Boxing Promotion will be held this Saturday at King Charles Park, Nadi. The first fight starts at 4pm.
