Germany got off the mark in style at UEFA Euro 2020 as they tore defending champions, Portugal apart with an impressive 4-2 win to throw Group F wide open.

Portuguese Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerreiro scored an own goal, while Kai Havertz and Robin Gosens scored a goal each for Germany.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Diogo Jota scored a goal each for Portugal.

Germany's win means both these sides now sit on three points, one behind group leaders France, heading into a pivotal final round of fixtures on Thursday.

Germany host Hungary, who held France to a 1-1 draw, while Portugal face the world champions in the final game with all four nations still able to progress.

Meanwhile, Spain and Poland are currently tied at 1-1.
