Just a few minutes ago, US President Donald Trump said he has agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran on the condition that Iran agree to reopen the critical Strait of Hormuz.
A White House official said Israel has also agreed to the ceasefire.
Trump’s announcement comes after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proposed a ceasefire to enable diplomatic negotiations between the US and Iran.
Meanwhile, several Gulf countries say they have been working to intercept missile and drone attacks in the past hour.
