The Fiji Water Flying Fijians side is making sure they do not lose their focus on their bye week this weekend and keep the intensity high during their training sessions as they look forward to their second Pacific Nations Cup clash against Tonga next week Friday in Tonga.

Coach Mick Byrne says having a bye this week gives them a great opportunity to work on their game plan ahead of the test against Tonga.

He says as a national side, they do not get a lot of opportunities to work on their game plans during tournaments, so they are making use of this break to do it.

Fiji is in pool A alongside Samoa and Tonga and is currently leading their pool with 5 points followed by Samoa and Tonga.

In pool B, Japan are currently leading their pool with 5 points following their dominant win over Canada on Monday.

This week’s Pacific Nations Cup games will see Samoa playing Tonga at 4pm Friday and the USA will host Canada at 1pm Sunday.
