Fijian Drua lets Brumbies steal a 43-40 win at home

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua gave away a comfortable lead at one stage of the game to let the Brumbies sneak back in and steal a 43-40 win at home in their 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific pre-season match last night.

The Drua took an early 28-7 lead in the first half before the Brumbies came back and scored 3 more tries and one conversion before halftime.

The game went into the break with the Drua holding a slight 28-24 lead.

The Drua started the second half well with a converted try in the 42nd minute to extend their lead to 35-24 before the Brumbies started crawling their way back in slowly.

The home side scored 3 more tries and two conversions to lead 43-35 before the Drua scored a consolation try at the stroke of fulltime with the conversion missing.

The Fijian Drua's next pre-season match is on the 16th of this month against the Melbourne Rebels in Melbourne.
