People in Nadi have been promised a good boxing night when South Pacific Boxing host their event at Kings Charles Park.

Promoter Freddy Chand says all the hard yards behind the scene trying to host this event has been done and now it is time to give the fans what they want.

Chand says there were sleepless nights running around and trying to get everything sorted and now it is finally here.

Guest speaker and New Zealand sporting sensation Sonny Bill Williams paid respect to all the boxers for their dedication leading up to tonight’s event.

Williams says he knows how hard it is to prepare for a fight and wishes them all the best in their respective fights.

Meanwhile, today’s event will have three international title fights and one local title fight.

The three international title fights will see Fiji’s boxing sensation Winston Hill taking on Lachlan O’Shea for the IBO Asia Pacific Super Welterweight title, Sebastian Singh will take on Tonga’s King Tonga Tongotongo for the IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title and Ubayd Haider will fight China’s Runqi Zhou for the IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight title.

The local title fight will see Siliveni Nawai and Jonathan Pedro Hill fight for the Fijian Super Middleweight title.

The first fight starts at 4pm.
