Experienced Naisewa to lead Fijian Drua Women against Reds

Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s number 8 Karalaini Naisewa has been given the task to lead the team this weekend as coach Mosese Rauluni names his first match day 23 squad for the 2024 Super W season.

Naisewa will be assisted by prop Mereoni Vonosere and centre Vani Va’aga Arei who have been named Vice Captains.

The team will see 2 debutants in Unaisi Lalabalavu, who will start at hooker, and Merewairita Neivosa, who will start on the wing.

There will also be 6 players who will be hoping to make their debut off the bench including Loraini Senivutu, Salanieta Nabuli, Tiana Robanakadavu, Aviame Veidreyaki, Merewai Nasilasila and Atelaite Buna Ralivanawa.

Squad to play the Reds:

Anasimeci Korovata, Unaisi Lalabalavu, Mereoni Vonosere, Mereoni Nakesa, Jade Coates, Teresia Tinanivalu, Sulita Waisega, Karalaini Naisewa, Evivi Senikarivi, Merewalesi Rokouono, Adita Milinia, Merewai Cumu, Vani Arei, Merewairita Neivosa and Luisa Tisolo.

Reserves:

Loraini Senivutu, Salanieta Nabuli, Tiana Robanakadavu, Aviame Veidreyaki, Merewai Nasilasila, Setaita Railumu, Jeniffer Ravutia and Atelaite Buna Ralivanawa.

The Drua Women will take on the Reds in their first match of the 2024 Super W season at 3.35pm this Sunday in Ballymore, Brisbane.

In other Super W matches this weekend, Western Force will take o the Rebels at 8.30pm Friday and Waratahs will play Brumbies at 6.05pm Saturday.
