Sanatan Convention focuses on youth empowerment and social awareness
The 64th Sanatan Convention in Navua is not only celebrating religious and cultural traditions but is also actively empowering communities, especially young people, to become agents of positive change.

The theme, “Sanatan Dharm for a Resilient Society: Addressing Drug Abuse, Violence and Global Uncertainty,” focuses on guiding youths towards better choices by raising awareness on critical issues such as drug use, violence, and the spread of HIV and AIDS.

Sabha President Dhirendra Nand says the aim is not only to highlight these issues but also to actively work towards solutions by educating communities and promoting positive values.

Nand says the statistics on HIV/AIDS and crime are very worrying, and everyone must play their part in eliminating or reducing them.

He also stresses that it is very important to restore the Hindi language and teach children its value.

The Sabha President adds that there should be no compromise when it comes to Hindi reading and writing, and strong encouragement must be given to the younger generation.
