We still have a lot to work on before the start of the season but we are confident of a good start against the Blues in the first round.

Those were the words of Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Captain Ratu Meli Derenalagi as he spoke about their preparations for the start of the 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

Derenalagi says their first warm-up match against the Brumbies last two weeks had them gauging their performance on the field and they will look to polish that this weekend against the Melbourne Rebels this week in their final pre-season match.

The 25-year-old earlier told fijivillage News that the team have set their target this year and that is to secure a home quarter final.

The Fijian Drua will play their final pre-season match against the Melbourne Rebels this Friday at 5.30pm in Melbourne.

They will play the Blues next Saturday at 3.35pm in Auckland in their first Super Rugby Pacific match this year.
