Canakaivata ready for the new Super Rugby Pacific season

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player Elia Canakaivata

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player Elia Canakaivata is ready for the new Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season as he is targeting to give his best if he is selected to play in one of the 7 home games the Fijian Drua will host.

Speaking to fijivillage News in the i-Taukei language, Canakaivata says his target for the new season is to play in some of the big games that will be hosted in the country.

He says if he is selected, he is ready to give his all.

The man from Navunisole Village in Tailevu says they achieved wonders last year by reaching the quarter finals in their second year, and he is aiming to reach the final this year.

He is also advising young upcoming rugby players to always listen to their parents and train hard.

The Drua will host defending champions, the Crusaders, first at Churchill Park on March 9th, they will then play the NSW Waratahs at Churchill Park on March 23rd and then the Western Force on March 30th at Churchill Park.

The Drua will host the Hurricanes at the HFC Bank Stadium on the 19th of April, they will then play Moana Pasifika at Churchill Park on April 27th, they will then take on the Reds at the HFC Bank Stadium on the 18th of May, before playing the Rebels at Churchill Park on June 1st.

The Drua kick off their Super Rugby Pacific campaign against the Blues in Auckland on 24th February.
