Burst main along Valelevu causes water disruptions to Nasinu and Flagstaff area

A burst main along the 300mm Nasinu Inlet Line Valve, near Valelevu, has caused water disruption along the Nasinu area.

The Water Authority of Fiji has confirmed that their team is working to repair this section of the pipeline.

They say the water supply would normalise after the repair works.

Areas affected by low pressure to no water are PRB, Vasant Lal place, Bryce, Tulele, Kaloa, Lower Caubati, Kinoya, Caubati, Manohan, Center Point, Laucala, Nokonoko, Koka, Kinoya Road, Vasant Lal Vesivesi, Fletcher, Mukta Ben.

Also, all areas feeding from Flagstaff Reservoir, Ratu Sukuna Road, Queen Elizabeth Drive (QED), Muanikau Road, Laucala Bay Road, McGregor Road, Domain Road, Victoria Parade from Sukuna Park to Nasese, Amy Street, Johnson Street, Spring Street, High Street, Stewart Street, Brown Street will be affected as well.

WAF says water carting trucks will be on standby and can be requested in the case of an emergency by calling 5777.
