Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has assured everyone that appropriate action will be taken if sufficient evidence is gathered to charge those involved in relation to alleged illegal activities at a property in Laucala Beach.

Qiliho has made the assurance while they are in the process of substantiating the allegations made against some individuals who are allegedly behind the illegal activities.

The Commissioner says they are aware of the allegations made with regards to the illegal activities as it has been a place of interest.

Qiliho also confirms that the individual named as a person of interest is a former police officer who was dismissed from the organisation due to disciplinary reasons.

There are posts circulating on social media highlighting the location at Laucala Beach as an alleged place dealing with methamphetamine.

It is also alleged that the place is also involved in prostitution where young women who cannot afford the methamphetamine offer themselves to the drug peddlers for sex in return for the addictive drug.

There are also allegations levelled against some within the group that are stealing food items from a nearby supermarket.
