The Ba Rugby Union has received another major boost to their 2024 Skipper Cup preparation after they signed a two-year partnership with high-performance sports apparel manufacturer BLK.

The partnership signed is for the kitting out of the province’s three main teams, the Vinod Patel Ba, Ba Women and Ba Juniors and also provide a significant level of off-field apparel.

Ba Rugby Union Director of Rugby and Ba Men’s Rugby coach Vilimoni Delasau says this partnership will help the union go up to the next level.

Delasau says this is the first time the union benefited from such an esteemed brand of sports apparel.

He says the players will feel the difference on the field with the high-performance features that BLK includes in its uniforms and will look the smartest side around off the field.

BLK General Manager, Asesela Serau, welcomed Ba’s decision to choose BLK, noting that he had been keeping an eye on Ba since last year’s Vanua Championship.

Serau says at BLK, they pride themselves on quality and teamwork and he believes that is the exact same philosophy that coach Delasau stresses to his players.

He says BLK is very proud to be able to become partners with Ba as they make their debut in the Skipper Cup later this month.

He adds BLK appreciates that this is a historic moment in the long history of Ba Rugby, and they are delighted to be part of it.

The deal runs through to the end of 2025 with BLK also becoming Ba Rugby’s official apparel and luggage merchandiser.

Ba will take on Suva on the 24th of this month in their first Skipper Cup match at the HFC Bank Stadium.
