As Tropical Cyclone Vaianu continues to track away from Fiji, a heavy rain warning remains in force for the entire Fiji group, a flash flood warning remains in force for Viti Levu and a flash flood alert remains in force for the rest of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office says a flood warning remains in force for all low lying and flood prone areas to and downstream of Tuva River in Nadroga, Nawaka River and Nadi River.

A strong wind warning also remains in force for the land areas of Fiji.

The centre of Tropical Cyclone Vaianu is located about 260 kilometres southwest of Kadavu and 340 kilometres south-southwest of Nadi, and continues to move away from Fiji.

TC Vaianu is currently moving southeast at about 20 kilometres per hour and is expected to lie about 410 kilometres south of Kadavu and about 510 kilometres south of Suva at 3pm today.
