A 40-year-old man will front the Nasinu Magistrates Court today, charged with the attempted murder of a police officer.
Police say the accused is one of the three men who were in a vehicle that drove directly into a roadblock manned by a police officer in Laqere.
They say the accused was discharged from the CWM Hospital on Friday, May 1st.
Police say following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the accused has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, serious assault, and going equipped for theft or a property offence.
They say the other two suspects remain admitted, and the victim remains admitted in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the female police officer who was hit by a car involving drug and robbery-related suspects is the daughter of Minister for Defence, Pio Tikoduadua.
