A 25-year-old man will be sentenced on the 20th of July for raping a boy who was under the age of 13.
High Court Judge Justice Usaia Ratuvili found the man guilty of one count of rape.
The defence lawyer has asked the court to take into account the five months his client has already spent in remand.
He also requested a non-custodial sentence.
The incident occurred in the Central Division in 2023.
Justice Ratuvili earlier acquitted the man of indecent assault due to insufficient evidence relating to that charge.
His bail has been extended.
