A former Fiji and district level football representative, charged in relation to sexual offences has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
The footballer is charged with 3 counts of rape, 2 counts of assault and 1 count of sexual assault.
The 25-year-old is alleged to have committed these acts against his then girlfriend last year.
He appeared before Magistrate Yogesh Prasad this afternoon.
Magistrate Prasad has transferred the case to the Suva High Court where it will be called on 3rd July.
