FRIEND Fiji collects basic items for flood victims
A Non-Government Organisation, FRIEND Fiji has started collecting basic items to help the flood affected people.

Administrator Sandhya Narayan said that they are mainly looking for water containers, mosquito nets, blankets, groceries and clothing and people who wish to help can drop these things at their Lautoka office.

She said they are getting calls from people in Lautoka, Ba and Tavua asking for help. She said they will start distributing things as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the Vatuwaqa Sai Centre will be mobilising a team to Ba to distribute food parcels to the needy.

The Centre is currently collecting food parcels to distribute to mostly the rural areas in Ba.
