Govind Park has sustained an estimated damage of one million dollars.
The Special Administrator of Ba Town Council, Arun Prasad said that the stadium's roof and other structures have been damaged.
He said apart from Govind Park, Garvey Park in Tavua has also sustained such damage and both the parks will be closed for some time while maintenance work is carried out.
