Temporary food and water rations have been supplied to the Yasawa Islands.
Commissioner Western Joeli Cawaki said it will take 6months to rebuild damaged houses and Government will be providing the much required assistance to the various villages.
He added one of the worst affected areas in the Mamanuca group is Waya Island and teams have also been deployed to these places with temporary food supplies.
Commander Cawaki has also confirmed that later next week another shipment of essential food and water rations will be sent to the island.
