Investigations are now underway following the discovery of the body of a three year old girl found floating in a Nadi river on Saturday.
According to police a villager found her body in the river after her father raised the alarm of her missing from home around 6pm.
She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Nadi Hospital.
Police are now awaiting a post mortem report.
Meanwhile, out of the 57 cases of drowning this year, 16 are children under the age of 10.
