The Council has requested the public to notify them if any drains are blocked.

Police officers are visiting areas that are experiencing flooding as well as areas prone to flash flooding in the Southern and Eastern Division to speak to community members on the need to stay clear of the areas as well as ensuring children do not swim in the flooded areas.

Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says officers have visited Qauia and surrounding areas and are monitoring the main highways.

Police are also receiving reports of accidents and are again urging motorists to take necessary safety precautions.
