The Serevi 7s Selects Youth team are looking forward to playing in the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s tournament this weekend.

With a lot of young potentials in the team, they are eager to showcase their talents and hopefully catch the attention of national selectors who will be at Lawaqa Park during the tournament scouting for players.

The team’s trainer, Jone Madrai says the expectations for the players is on a high level and he has reminded his players, they need to stick to their game plan and focus on executing it well.

Madrai says his team is also expecting high level of competitions from other teams in the youth division especially defending champions Tuva Rugby who they will be playing in their pool game.

He says the team’s main goal is to develop these young players’ skills, expose their talents and get them into the national training squad system.

The Serevi 7s Selects are in pool A alongside Tuva, Namaqa Grassroots and Natabua Beez.

The Coral Coast 7s tournament will be held from Thursday to Saturday.
