The 2022 Fiji Sports Awards is back after a lapse of two years and will be held on the 25th of March this year.

FASANOC Sports Development Manager Lyndall Fisher says the awards nominations will comprise achievements and contributions from 2020 to 2022, as the Awards event could not be held during the 3 years because of COVID.

She says the annual Fiji Sports Awards acknowledges the important role that sports plays in developing Fiji and it focuses on Fiji’s sporting industry in acknowledging sport’s most unique, influential and inspirational personalities and are the only national awards dedicated to recognizing excellence in Fijian sports.

Fisher says the organizing committee are inviting all National Federations and sporting fraternity to submit their nominations and nomination forms can be obtained from the websites of FASANOC, Fiji Sports Council and the Fiji National Sports Commission.

She adds nominations will be closed on the 27th of this month and finalists will be notified by the Sports Awards Committee shortly after.

Fisher says negotiations are currently being finalised for the Guest speaker for the awards night and reservations for tickets and tables of 8 are recommended and can be made with FASANOC.

Tickets can be purchased from FASANOC office at a later date.
