The Fiji Airways National Men's 7s Development side had a successful training camp in Korea and coach Sale Tubuna says they are going to look at ways as to how Fiji Rugby Union can help develop the game of rugby in Korea.

In an interview with fijivillage News, coach Sale Tubuna says it is interesting to see how a country like Korea has all the equipment, facilities and advanced technologies needed for rugby but is underdeveloped in its knowledge of the game.

Tubuna says that is why Korea reached out to Fiji and requested their help which the Korean Rugby Union funded and accommodated the Fiji 7s Development team for the 1 week tour.

He says it is also great to see that a country like Korea is serious about developing rugby in their country seeing the large amount of money they spent just to help them improve their knowledge about the sport.

Tubuna says the two teams had a full week of training sessions together which included a few scrimmage sessions last Thursday before wrapping up the camp with a full contact session this afternoon.

He says improvements as well have been seen with the Fiji Development side as they walloped Korea 114-17.

Tubuna says, it's not about the score margin, but it's about the development of both the teams and they are grateful for the opportunity to help the Korean 7s side as they prepare for the Asian games next year.

He says they will have another discussion with the Korean Rugby Union officials tonight to discuss the way forward for the two nations in terms of rugby developments in Korea.

The Fiji Development side was made up of players in the Fiji Rugby Union pathway and was captained by Iowane Raturaciri.
