Norway holds a 2-1 lead over Iraq at halftime in their FIFA World Cup Group I clash, with star striker Erling Haaland scoring both goals for the Norwegians.

Haaland opened the scoring in the 29th minute to register his first-ever FIFA World Cup goal.

Iraq fought back through Aymen Hussein, who equalised in the 39th minute after being set up by Amir Al Ammari.

However, Haaland struck again four minutes later to restore Norway's lead and give his side the advantage heading into the halftime break.

Group I also features France and Senegal, with France earlier defeating Senegal 3-1.
