A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a 62-year-old woman where the boy was working for the victim and is alleged to have stabbed her multiple times, resulting in her death.
This has been confirmed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions which says that 26 cases were filed in the High Court last month, with a total of 44 counts of non-sexual offences.
The 44 counts of non-sexual offences comprised three counts of murder, six counts of manslaughter, two counts of manslaughter arising from a breach of duty, one count of corporate manslaughter, three counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated robbery, five counts of aggravated burglary, five counts of theft, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of arson, three counts of acts with intent to cause grievous harm, five counts of common assault, two counts of unlawful wounding, two counts of criminal intimidation, two counts of inciting to mutiny, one count of contravention of a restraining order and one count of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
There were 42 people, including 2 juveniles and 8 police officers, charged with 44 counts of non-sexual offences.
There were 26 victims and seven incidents where the accused and victim were related to one another.
A 19-year-old man was charged with the murder of a 33-year-old man where it is alleged that the man assaulted the victim and struck him on the head with a piece of wood, causing severe injuries that resulted in his death.
There was one incident where a 21-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were charged with the murder of a police officer. However, this matter was discontinued due to insufficient evidence.
A 20-year-old man was charged with the attempted murder of a 49-year-old man. It is alleged that the accused attempted to murder the victim by stabbing him multiple times.

A 42-year-old woman was charged with unlawful wounding. It is alleged that the accused stabbed her 34-year-old sister with a kitchen knife following an altercation over their family home.
In another incident, a 28-year-old man was charged with common assault and criminal intimidation. It is alleged that, upon discovering his 13-year-old nephew had stolen from his home, the accused assaulted the child and threatened to kill him.
A 29-year-old man was charged with vehicular manslaughter. It is alleged that the accused was driving while under the influence of alcohol, resulting in an accident.
His six-year-old nephew, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained head injuries and later died.
A 30-year-old man was also charged with vehicular manslaughter following a fatal vehicle collision that resulted in the deaths of an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old man.
In another incident, a 24-year-old man was charged with vehicular manslaughter following an accident that resulted in the death of a 28-year-old woman.
There was one incident where a 52-year-old man was charged with two counts of acts with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of common assault. It is alleged that the accused struck a 37-year-old man with a cane knife and assaulted a 60-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman during an altercation.
A 22-year-old man was charged with three counts of common assault for allegedly assaulting his 20-year-old girlfriend.
In another incident, a 31-year-old man was charged with one count of unlawful wounding of a 21-year-old man after he asked the accused to return his power bank.
