Classroom blocks at Tailevu North College damaged in tornado in 2020 yet to be rebuilt
Two classroom blocks at Tailevu North College that were destroyed in April 2020 in a tornado, are yet to be rebuilt.

The school is now grateful to the Japanese Embassy for agreeing to rebuild the two classroom blocks.

School officials told fijivillage News that they have been asking the Ministry of Education from 2020 to rebuild the classroom as it has been affecting the students' learning.

They say they had to convert the school hall into classrooms.

They also say that they have now managed to secure two tents as a donation from UNICEF to the Ministry of Education so they can continue their classes.

The Fijian Media Association also held a Media Literacy Program at the school where editors and journalists from different media houses encouraged students to work hard and continue to build and push themselves to greater heights.

The students were also encouraged to read and gain more knowledge on what is happening around them.

The students said that they were aware of a lot of misinformation and disinformation on social media platforms.

Some students also asked questions on how they can get into the media industry.
