Fiji born Crusaders wing Nemani Nadolo has been cited for alleged foul play in his team’s 40-14 Super Rugby victory over the Brumbies in Canberra last night.
Nadolo is alleged to have contravened the law when he made contact with the Brumbies halfback, Tomas Cubelli.
Upon further review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.
The citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAAR Duty Judicial Officer Chris Morris.
It is alleged that Nadolo lifted the Brumbies halfback from the ground and dropped or drove that player into the ground whilst that player’s feet were still off the ground.
